Extras DVD Boxset English Version

The Series Finale Disk, although printed up to look like the Extras Finale, turned out to be disk 2 of Planet Earth. Again, the disk was printed and labelled so that it looked an Extras disk--we only discovered the truth when we finally got around to watching it. Unfortunately, we did not get around to watching the final disk until months after I'd bought the set, as I'd already seen the whole series on TV. Be sure to watch all the disks as soon as they arrive, to make sure they contain the content they're supposed to. I know the show is great or I wouldn't have bought it on DVD; but quality assurance for this line seems to suck.

What's so great about Extras? Besides the day-to-day realism of the show itself and the natural affect of the characters, the show is flipping funny! It follows the ups and mostly downs of Andy Millman, a film extra who in season one gets one rejection after another as he slumps off to one audition after another. In season two finally gets a successful sitcom, only to realize that this sitcom is a critical stinker. Then he becomes disillusioned with success at the expense of artistic integrity...you get the idea.

"This is a must have!!! Not only is Ricky Gervais funny, but the numerous stars are too! In this two-disc comedy you have stars like Orlando Bloom, David Bowie, Chris Martin, and Sir Ian McKellen who give the show their all when they deliver their comedic lines. If the show wasn't funny enough, the extras are hilarious! One of the funniest ones is 'Taping Nigel', where Ricky tapes (duct tape) his editor in weird and funny ways. This is definately something for those people who want a laugh!"

"This product was GREAT! It came in a sturdy hard plastic casing, with the appropriate labels. This rugged plastic casing was then entombed in the government regulated "stiff paper outer shell".These labels let me know exactly what was inside the packaging in case I ever wanted to know. The case was easy to open too! When I did open it, to my amazement, there was not just one, but TWO "DVDs" neatly centered on the right hand side of the case. These were secured there by a plastic fastener and flippy thingamajig. Setup was super easy!!I just slid the disc into the disc player. (Be careful to only use one DVD disc at a time.) Voila!!! I like how it told me the running time in hours and minutes, so that I didn't have to convert 164minutes in my head. This product is very good and I would recommend it to others."
