"I firmly believe that every person needs to see this film regardless of who they are. Easily one of the greatest films ever made, it clearly deserves the recognition it earned over the years. It is hard to believe that this film was deemed both a critical and box office disappointment when it was initially released. There are several dvd versions that have been released over the years, my personal preference for picture quality is the 1998 Republic Pictures version, but any of the more recent versions are fine too, as they almost all contain the same bonus features as the original disc. Whatever you do, only watch the film in its original black & white, the colorized versions have been awful!""

"This film will never grow old. Although I have seen it at 25+ times and know all the lines, it is as fresh and lively every year I watch it. It has such a wonderful message, and although has a sad story of suicide and anger, shines through as one of the best films ever made. Jimmy Stewart IS George Bailey. His performance is absolutely extraordinary, and no one could have delved into the psyche of the character better than he. All of the acting is perfectly done, and Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed have a wonderful chemistry. I mean, who doesn't love singing along with them as they walk down the street singing 'Buffalo Gals' after the dance? It is absolutely priceless. Frank Capra was a film master, and no one could have made a better film. There is a story that Jimmy Stewart's wife told on a retrospective of a letter Jimmy Stewart received from a young man contemplating suicide on Christmas Eve. He picked up the gun and as he was about to pull the trigger, he heard famous lines from 'It's A Wonderful Life'. He dropped the gun, called the police, turned himself in, and wrote to Mr. Stewart from prison. What other film have you known to have such an impact on people? One of the best things to look forward to win Christmas comes. A masterpiece!"

"Christmas are my very all life favorite holidays. Cause all good tearful movies will be on and all happy good feelings happen. This movie has been my favorites too, I watch it almost every year they show it, and I use to cry with my kids when we watch it. I love it, I fell in love with all christmas movies, that is the reason why I can't wait for christmas month to come, cause then I can always sit infront of the T.v and watch only christmas movies with my kleenex to wipe my watery eyes. My kids know this, they always buy me kleenex on the month of Novermber thru the month of December, they know that I'm going to be doing alot of crying, and I'm going to be excited only on those months, cause the good spirit of christmas never fails, of people doing good deeds for other strangers or helping anyone that needed help.
