About the movie:

For eight seasons, "JAG" executive producer Donald Bellisario has brought us the inner workings of the United States Navy's office of the Judge Advocate General, exposing its behind-the-scenes courtroom secrets and procedures.

Now he shifts his focus to the team from the NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service), the government agency that investigates all crimes involving Navy and Marine Corps personnel, regardless of rank or position.

Leading this team that operates outside of the military chain of command is NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), a skilled investigator and interrogator who is smart, tough and willing to bend the rules to get the job done.

Working under Gibbs is Agent Anthony Dinozzo (Michael Weatherly), a former homicide detective who joined NCIS just a few years ago, but who has instincts that can come only from working on the streets.

Joining them is Agent Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), a gifted forensic scientist whose dark wit matches her goth-style hair and clothes, and Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum), a medical examiner.

From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents traverse the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties.

Through season one a new character has been introduced -- special agent Tim McGee (Sean Murray, "The Random Years") whose computer skills will be a very big part of the NCIS team.

Special Agent Caitlin "Kate" Todd (Sasha Alexander, "Dawson's Creek"), a former United States Secret Service agent, has brought her intelligence and gutsy personality to the team through first 2 seasons, until during her duty in season two finale, when she was murdered by a terrorist, leaving a whole new story for the next season...

NCIS won 2 ASCAP Awards 2004 for Top Tv Series (Matt Hawkins, Henri Jackson, Neil Martin, Steven Bramson). In 2005, NCIS's composer Joseph Conlan won an BMI TV Music Award for his work on NCIS.

NCIS season 6

"Mark Harmon has been the lead character-(hunk for the women!) through the entire series and with 2 exceptions the main characters have not changed at all. They do a great job working characters in and out even if you don't think you will like the change. Each character from the Medical examiner to the forensic science specialist to each of the agents are very well played. If you've already seen the first 5 seasons, you shouldn't even need this review to buy Season 6.I would recommend this series to my friends, my enemies, and anyone I met in the store looking at one of the sets."

Found I Really Liked It

"I didn't care for the series when it first came out but have since come to look forward to each new episode. So, of course, I had to get the first season so I could see all those episodes I missed!! I really enjoyed the background on how the show was developed and the stars/co-stars were picked and of course, I enjoyed all the episodes. Too bad they didn't include the initial lead-in show that had combined Jag and NCIS. I've always said, a show does not succeed because of one character and this is a prime example. All the characters put together make this show a huge success, tho I have to say I love "Abby." This is one of those shows that if one of the characters leave, you are going to have to be really careful of how you replace them as each one of these is unique in their own way."

Boo Hoo to One and Two

"Great package at a great price (Best Buy was the best value at the time of purchase). As an audio nut, I was a little disappointed that seasons one and two were only in Dolby 2.0. Seasons three and up are all in Dolby 5.1... yea!!! Other than that you can't go wrong with this set if you're an NCIS fan."

NCIS-The Fourth Season

"I counted the days until NCIS-the 4th season was released on DVD. I thoroughly enjoy this program, not only because Mark Harmon is a cutie, but because this cast is put together so well. The stories are well thought out and realistic. The acting is terrific, only I do miss Sasha as Kate. I wish they didn't have to kill her off at the end of the second season. However, I do like the Ziva character. She certainly can hold her own among the three men. I'm looking forward to owning the 5th season once that is out on DVD later on this year."
