got stronger as it moved along

just adding another positive review for the show as it may survive in syndication if the true enthusiasm for this smart show can crawl out from under the suffocating bloat of american Idol. the first reviewer eloquently outlines the season and the issues the show faced but it most definitely has gotten stronger - and had many entertaining moments throughout.

Great show!

Reaper was a great show and should have been renewed for a full 22 episodes. It was a mistake cancelling the show. All the characters, especially the Devil, are hilarious. Season 2 was actually better than season one. I can't believe that Reaper was cancelled and people are still watching American Idol and America's Next Top Model. They only offer more of the same each season, only with different people. My only problem with Reaper is that there was not enough fight scenes.

A truly gripping thriller

"Reaper by Steven Dunne is easily the best crime thriller I've read since Silence of the Lambs. Set in Derby, yet fast paced and American in style, Reaper blows the socks off most other tedious thrillers, with crackling dialogue and a truly thought provoking hunt for a serial killer who murders families in their homes then disappears without trace. Inspector Brook is sympathetic and, more importantly, believable with none of the clunky, cliche ridden back story of the Mo Hayder school of yawnfests. Buy it, read it and hope like hell that Reaper will soon be coming to a cinema near you. Immensely satisfying, intellectually stretching and just plain exciting."

"My brother recommended Reaper, book one of the West Baden Springs Triology. This genre of reading is not one I would normally pay any attention to, however I was hooked on the first page. Very 'on the edge of your seat' suspensful and more twists and turns than you can imagine. Once I finished, I couldn't wait to read the next two books in the series. While a work of fiction, West Baden Springs Hotel is real and if you ever have a chance to tour this historical site, you won't be disappointed. You'll see first hand how the story of Reaper fits perfectly in this setting. A fast exciting read and hard to put down."

"Funny show, got hooked half way through season 1 when it originally aired on television. Sock is hilarious and makes a great comedic sidekick."

"Great TV Series. Good acting , good writing , good production values. Ray Wise is perfect as the Devil , and the rest is equally fine. The DVD was at a good price. Bret Harrison as Sam is good casting , just a regular guy caught in an unusual situation. You can't help but to care for the guy. The supporting cast ( Tyler Labine as Sock , and Rick Gonzqalez ) are good additions as Sam's friends and allys . The scripts are crisp and witty , the other supporting player ( and guest stars) are up to the task. All together a great buy for a great TV Show."
