Deserves more than 5 stars, May 30, 2011
LudwigFor all of you who think owning the theatrical editions of The Lord of the Rings trilogy is good enough, think again. These editions are not like any other director's cuts or special editions of films that we've seen in the past. Usually, when a film has a special edition, we don't get a whole lot more added in, and it's stuff that doesn't really add anything significant to the story.
The most moving film in my generation, May 30, 2011
DallasMy generation (the under 30 group) has been needing a trilogy that could hold its own among names such as Star Wars and The Godfather. This trilogy is it. I have never been so moved by shows of friendship, hope, and faith as I have been by this film. The action is fabulous, the plot and characters so true to the story, and the humor so funny that I can think of no other film I would watch for 12 hours straight. The extended versions are wonderful and include the changing height of Merry and Pippin thanks to Treebeard, more competition between Legolas and Gimli, and more moments to remember.

Mirabel "This is one of my favorite DS games ever! The graphics are decent, and the game is easy to learn.
It is nice to be able to swith between the mage,
warrior, and the archer. In my opinion the game is a
little easy, and it would have been nice to have a
few more levels."
Jackson Does It Again!, January 27, 2011
Ludwig"This is my favorite movie series for battle action. I liked that none of the main character were injured during the battles, but they managed to kill so many themselves. Aragorn is portrayed as a near perfect swordsman, Legolas as acrobatic and good with bow and arrow, and Gimly as skilled with his heavy axe. Thinking back on the movie, I am somewhat disappointed with the invincibility of these three against seemingly insurmountable odds, but this quality looked good at the time. A letdown was the tremendous length of the end of the movie. Return of the King could have ended right when Aragorn became king, but the movie had to drag through Sams marriage, Frotos book writing, and then Sams kids. I watched this movie twice in the theater. The second time, I laughed during parts Im sure I wasnt supposed to. I was entertained when Sam offers to take the ring for a while, and the camera zooms in on his lips. Frotos foaming at the mouth after receiving the spider bite is also quite amusing. His swinging at unseen objects on the way up Mount Doom is hilarious, as is Sams face as he watches him. It takes the right (wrong?) mood to see this movie as amusing. A positive of this movie is the cleanliness of it. There is little gore (no one could avoid a little blood in the gruesome battles fought in this movie), no language issues, not even any uncontrolled rage or boundless lust. All things considered, I love this movie. I would recommend it to those who like battle scenes and intense action."
