The Sopranos Plot Summary

North Jersey mob boss, Tony Soprano, self-described "waste management consultant," reluctantly seeks a psychiatrist's help after blacking out. Lest he appear weak, he must keep his therapy a secret from the rest of the Mob. He's stressed: his teenage daughter is giving his wife fits; his mean-spirited mother refuses to move to a retirement community; his aging Uncle Junior, jealous of Tony's rise to the top, won't stay in line and engineers a plot to kill Tony; and the feds, armed with RICO, are circling. In therapy, Tony must come to terms with his father's example, his mother's manipulations, and his own fears of death and loss of family.

SUPERIOR SOPRANOS

"The Corleones and Prizzis never had the Sopranos problems, but then again they didn't have to face 13 episodes in their sagas. And that's too bad, because David Chase could have done them justice had he been able to chronicle their lives as he does this mobbed up New Jersey crime family. But could he have put Sonny in Anger Management? Like all stellar (television) series, the first year episodes usually prove to be the best and this series is no exception. There is superior work here from all fronts ...writing, direction and performances in both lead and support. Most surprising is Steven Van Zandt as Silvio Dante. The best episodes are #9, BOCA and #12, ISABELLA. Screen them all... Bring out the peppers and sausage!"

Best collection ever

"My husband loves the sopranos and we never watched the original ones, until the repeats came out. Now he can watch all of them whenever he wants to, starting from the beginning. I could not beleive the price. We really enjoy them, just hope Tony doesn't rub off on him!"

SEASON 4 tops them all

"Season 4 goes beyond any soprano's season. In past seasons the the problem throughout the season have been resolved in the last episode, whereas in this season, they leave wondering if Adrianna is going to get whacked for talking to the mob, if Paula will still be alive after his betrayal to the NJ family, and the question is left hanging whether Tony and Carmella will still be together. THat is why I love this season because it leaves wanting more! All i know is I can't wait to see what happens in season 5!"

Best series set ever

"This new black sopranos full series set is much more affordable then the other.I am so happy they finally lowered the price. Also the set is smaller and looks so much better with the whole cast on it. Best show ever made."
